In the year 2017 Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee released Despacito and it became the highest-streamed hit song at the time within six months. This mixture of reggaeton, and pop music not only brought people back to this style, but also to Latin music in general. Billboard's Top 100 had four songs in 2016, as opposed to two songs in the year 2015. At the height of Despacito's popularity, 19 tracks mainly in Spanish were included in the Top 100. In 2020 there will be 41 songs in this category. After Justin Bieber released his bilingual remix of Despacito in 2017, well-known artists began to collaborate with reggaeton musicians.
