Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder is the professionally-known name of Winona Laura Hoowitz, birthed within Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her after the town she grew up in. Michel Horowitz' father was an author and editor, as were Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder's parents also happen to be Jewish. Ryder believes herself to being Jewish. The actress is the younger sister of Uria, and has half-siblings Jubal & Sunyata. Ryder's family relocated from Mendocino County in California at the age of seven. In those days, there was no electricity. There was no television books were Ryder's only distraction for her time, and she became an avid reader. Ryder began taking acting lessons at the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 at the age of twelve years old. Lucas The film from 1986, was her first major part.
